About G&C Auto Body

G&C is a family-run business where Gene’s four children hold key positions. Gene says, “People buy the best car they can afford and depend on it. My job is to please my customers, the insurance companies, and everyone else involved. You have to make it easy to do business with you and that’s how we succeed.” We strive to be the best auto body shop while offering comprehensive auto paint and body shop services and expert auto body collision repair shops.

G&C Auto Body is an auto body shop in Fremont, California. It is listed at 4878 Davenport Pl, Fremont, CA 94538, which places it among the local businesses of Fremont that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Body shops repair collision damage, dents, rust and paint, and most work directly with insurance companies: you can choose any shop, not only the insurer's preferred one, and the shop will write a supplement if hidden damage turns up. Paintless dent repair fixes hail and door dings without repainting. Detailing shops clean and protect interiors and paint, from a basic wash-and-wax to ceramic coatings and paint protection film. Car washes range from self-service bays to express tunnels with monthly memberships. Upholstery shops repair seats, headliners and convertible tops, and restoration shops bring classic and collector cars back to original or custom condition.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. The most common schedule is 7:30 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. Fremont is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Fremont is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This place has exceptional customer service and hospitality. With dealing with my first accident in over a decade, they really made sure I was taken care of and wasn’t belittled like other shops. Wilbur and Jason always kept me in the loop and worked with what was best with my schedule without inconveniencing me. They were honest about any changes in plans and any unforeseen circumstances that they discovered. Carmen was extremely courteous and explained any questions I had with clarity and detail. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that ever got into the same situation as me.

I took my vehicle to G & C Santa Clara for collision damage repair. It was sent to G & C Fremont for the repairs. Thank you to Mustafa for his excellent communication with me during the repair process. The outside of my vehicle was returned looking amazing! What I was not pleased with were several issues pertaining to the condition of the inside of my vehicle. Thank you to Jason for listening to my concerns and suggesting ways to rectify the situation. These repairs were recent so I look forward to seeing the follow through with Jason. Thank you also to Bianca and Chris in Santa Clara for their great service and Carmen in Fremont!

I had approximately $23,000 worth of repairs completed at this shop, but when I picked up my car, the sunroof cover was missing and the front left tire was flat. I was assured the tire wasn’t damaged and simply needed air, but it was completely flat (0 PSI) the very next day. I was also told the missing sunroof cover would be ordered and installed within a week. After multiple delays, I made several phone calls and left multiple voicemails for Wilbert over the course of several weeks, but none of my calls were returned and I received no updates. I’m currently trying to sell my vehicle, and this unresolved repair has delayed the sale. While I understand that parts can be delayed, there is no excuse for the lack of communication and follow-through. After spending over $23,000 on repairs, I expected much better customer service and attention to detail.
